Acceptable Use Policy

The main rules in a few lines:

• Personas are AI-generated actors. Never present them as real people, and disclose them every time you post: Getuser videos carry no on-screen AI label, so switch on the platform’s AI label.
• Only make claims that are true and that you can prove. No fake reviews, testimonials, user numbers or rankings.
• Some products cannot be promoted with Getuser at all, such as gambling, illegal lending or investment schemes, adult content and political ads. Others can be promoted only without personas, such as financial and health apps.
• Upload only what you have the rights to, and do not use anyone’s face, voice or name without their consent.
• No fake engagement, account farms, or accounts that pretend a persona is a real person.
• Do not try to break Getuser’s security or get around its limits.
• Report breaches to legal@getuser.app. We act proportionately, explain our decisions and let you respond.

This summary does not replace the policy. Where it differs from the full text below, the full text applies.

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you upload to Getuser or make with it, and to how you use, post and advertise the videos you make, wherever you post them.

Each platform has its own rules, and the law of each place where you post or target viewers applies too. Where they are stricter than this policy, follow them as well.

In this policy, a “persona” is one of the AI-generated people in Getuser’s reaction clips, and a “video” is any video or image slide you make with Getuser.

Personas are AI-generated actors. They are not real people, and none of them has used your app. Getuser videos do not show an on-screen AI label: the video file says in its metadata that it contains AI-generated people, and you tell viewers when you post. The AI disclosure page explains how Getuser videos are marked and the platform settings to switch on.

You must not:

• present a persona as a real person, or as a customer, user, reviewer, expert, influencer, employee or yourself;
• pair a persona with a line, caption, voice-over or post text that claims a personal experience or result, such as having used, tried, switched to or paid for a product, for how long, or what it achieved (“I used it for a week”, “it saved me $200”);
• pair a persona with claims about what other people do or think (“everyone is switching”, “my friends keep asking about it”);
• post a video that shows a persona without the AI disclosure that the platform or the law requires, for example with the platform’s AI label switched off or, in an ad, without a clear statement in the ad that the person is AI-generated;
• remove or change the metadata in which Getuser marks a video as containing AI-generated people, or re-encode or edit a video for that purpose, in order to hide that its people are AI-generated;
• alter a persona’s face, body or movement, give it a voice, dubbing or lip-sync, or combine it with another person’s likeness;
• use a persona as the name, face or profile picture of an account, or run an account, comment or message that pretends to be a persona;
• use a persona in a video in a category listed under “Where personas may not appear”, or to depict a real person, or any group, in a demeaning way; or
• extract a persona clip from your video or use it outside Getuser videos.

Fine over a persona: “POV: you finally found an app that …”, “why is nobody talking about this app?”. Not fine: “I used this app for a week and …”, “my friends keep asking me about it”.

Every time you post a video with a persona, switch on the platform’s AI label (TikTok’s “AI-generated content”, YouTube’s AI disclosure, “AI use”, Instagram’s or Facebook’s “AI info”) and, on TikTok, the “Your brand” content disclosure. Where a platform has no AI label, say in the caption that the person is AI-generated, for example “AI actor”. Videos with persona clips may not be used in paid ads until Getuser allows it in writing (see the Terms of Service); once allowed, each ad must say clearly that the person is AI-generated and follow the ad platform’s rules.

Advertising law in most countries, for example Indonesia’s Consumer Protection Law and the Indonesian Advertising Code of Ethics (Etika Pariwara Indonesia), the US Federal Trade Commission’s rules on reviews and endorsements, and EU and UK consumer law, treats fake reviews and invented social proof as unlawful. So:

• every claim about your app must be true, not misleading, and backed by evidence that you hold before you post;
• no fake reviews, testimonials, ratings or endorsements, and no presenting your own ad as an independent user’s opinion;
• no invented numbers of users, downloads or customers, and no invented ratings, rankings or awards; no “#1”, “best”, “only” or other superlatives without proof;
• no claims that an authority, platform, celebrity or organisation endorses or approves your app, unless it is true and you are allowed to say so;
• no claims that your app diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease or condition, and no promises of weight loss, body changes, investment returns or income;
• no fake before-and-after results, no guarantees of results, and no false urgency or scarcity (“only 3 spots left”);
• no comparisons that are misleading or that disparage a named competitor;
• prices, free offers and trial terms must be accurate and complete; and
• do not hide that a video is an ad: post from an account that identifies your app or clearly shows your connection to it (for example with “#ad”), and switch on the platform’s commercial-content disclosure.

Getuser warns you when your own lines seem to make health, money, guarantee, ranking, authority or weight-loss claims. The warning is a help, not a clearance: you remain responsible for every claim.

You may not use Getuser to promote:

• gambling or betting of any kind, including online casinos, slots, sports betting and paid lotteries (gambling is illegal in Indonesia);
• lending, credit, buy-now-pay-later, investment, trading, crypto-asset, insurance or payment services that are not licensed or registered with the regulator where you advertise, including online lending (pinjol) not licensed by Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK);
• pyramid, Ponzi or money-game schemes, recruitment for multi-level marketing, or get-rich-quick and “passive income” schemes;
• adult or sexual content or services, including dating or companion services that offer sexual content;
• narcotics and other illegal drugs and their paraphernalia, prescription-only medicines, tobacco, e-cigarettes and vapes, and alcohol;
• weapons, ammunition and explosives;
• medicines, traditional medicines, supplements, cosmetics, medical devices or food products that lack the marketing authorisation or registration they need (in Indonesia, for example, from BPOM or the Ministry of Health);
• political, electoral or social-issue advertising, including content designed to influence an election, a referendum or legislation;
• counterfeit goods, hacking tools, spyware or stalkerware, fake documents, or services for evading the law or a platform’s rules; or
• anything else that is illegal where it is offered or where you advertise it.

If your app is in a regulated sector, it is your responsibility to hold the licences it needs and to follow that sector’s advertising rules.

Some apps can be promoted with Getuser, but only without personas: with your own hook clip, your recording and lines that make no claim you cannot prove. Personas may not appear in videos about:

• financial products and services, even licensed ones, including lending, credit, investing, trading, crypto assets, insurance, banking and payments;
• health, medical or mental-health apps or claims, diets, weight loss, fitness results or body image;
• dating, relationships or companionship, where a persona could be taken for someone available to meet;
• apps directed at children;
• jobs, income or ways to earn money; or
• legal, tax or other professional advice.

The claims rules in this policy still apply to videos in these categories, with or without personas.

Never upload to Getuser, make with Getuser, or post as a Getuser video:

• illegal content, including content prohibited by Indonesia’s Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE), such as content that violates decency, defamation, extortion, threats of violence, or hatred based on ethnicity, religion, race or group;
• child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises minors (we report it to the authorities);
• hate speech, harassment, bullying or threats, or content that promotes violence, terrorism or self-harm;
• content that impersonates a real person, brand or organisation, or that uses someone’s face, voice, name or other likeness without their written consent (in Indonesia, commercial use of a portrait requires written consent under UU 28/2014 Art 12);
• music, footage, images, fonts, logos or other material you do not have the right to use, including commercial music from a platform’s library, which is usually licensed only for use inside that platform;
• other people’s personal data without a legal basis (use test or demo accounts in your screen recordings where you can);
• fake platform interfaces, fake notifications or other content designed to trick viewers; or
• malware, or links to phishing or fraudulent sites.

You must not use Getuser or its videos for:

• fake engagement: buying or selling views, likes, followers or comments, or using bots, engagement groups or other tools to inflate them;
• account farms, or networks of accounts that hide who is behind them or that post the same content at scale to game a platform’s systems;
• evading a platform’s ban, restriction or other enforcement action; or
• spam, including mass-posting repetitive videos or comments.

If you use auto-posting, you must also not connect an account that you do not own or are not authorised to manage, schedule posts to many accounts to get around a platform’s posting limits, or try to get around the checks and settings on the publish page, such as the AI label or a platform’s privacy and disclosure choices.

Posting several videos from accounts that clearly represent your app is fine; hiding who you are is not.

You must not:

• probe, scan or test Getuser for vulnerabilities, or break or get around its authentication, access controls or other security (if you find a vulnerability, report it to legal@getuser.app instead);
• access, or try to access, another person’s account, data or files;
• get around usage limits, for example by opening several accounts, or interfere with or overload the service;
• scrape or crawl Getuser, or access it by automated means other than the features we provide;
• decompile or reverse engineer Getuser, except where the law allows it;
• resell, rent or provide Getuser or its library assets to others;
• use library assets, the pattern library or videos containing persona clips to train or improve AI models, or to build a face, voice or likeness model; or
• use Getuser from a sanctioned country or region, or on behalf of a sanctioned person.

If you see content made with Getuser that breaks this policy, for example a persona presented as a real customer or a persona video posted without any AI disclosure, tell us at legal@getuser.app. Please include:

• a link to the post or a copy of the video;
• what you think is wrong, and why;
• your name and email address, so that we can follow up (you may report anonymously, but we may then be unable to update you); and
• a statement that your report is accurate and made in good faith.

For copyright, portrait or likeness complaints, including “this persona looks like me”, follow the Copyright page and write to copyright@getuser.app.

Posts live on the platforms, including posts a user published through Getuser. Report a post to the platform as well: only the platform can remove it from there.

We acknowledge reports within 3×24 hours and tell you what we decided.

Getuser does not review your content routinely. The app checks your own lines automatically and warns about certain claims. People review the reports we receive and any possible breach we find.

If we conclude that this policy has been broken, we take proportionate steps, depending on how serious the breach is, whether it was intentional and whether it has happened before:

• a warning, or a request to change or remove a video or post;
• removing or disabling content in Getuser;
• restricting features, such as personas;
• suspending the account;
• closing the account, for serious or repeated breaches; and
• where the law requires it or someone’s life or safety is at risk, informing the platform concerned or the authorities.

We tell you what we did and why, and how to respond, as the Terms of Service describe. You can respond within 30 days, and a person will review your response. Serious breaches, such as child sexual abuse material, threats to life, or systematically posting personas without AI disclosure or as real people, may lead to the account being closed at once.

We may change this policy. We will tell you in advance about changes that affect you, as the Terms of Service describe.
