Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 October 2026

The agreement between you and Moh Novalidyon Arileone Prayoda, who runs Getuser. It explains what Getuser does, what you may do with the videos you make, and what each of us is responsible for.

1. The short version

The points that matter most:

  • Getuser makes short videos and slideshows about your app from your recording, an AI persona clip and a caption. You download and post them yourself, or connect Instagram or TikTok and have Getuser publish the posts you confirm, now or at a time you pick. Getuser never posts anything you have not confirmed.
  • Getuser is in a free beta with a monthly allowance of credits, and features may change. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before any paid plan, and nothing is charged unless you choose one.
  • Credits are not money. A failed render or AI write never costs credits, AI writing never costs more than the maximum shown before it starts, and what an action costs never goes up during a period you have paid for. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, a yearly plan is refunded in full within 14 days if less than 10% of its credits were used, and your rights as a consumer always apply.
  • You own what you upload and the videos you make. You give us only the permission we need to store your files and render your videos. We do not use your content to train AI.
  • The persona clips and any library music stay ours. We license them to you for use inside your Getuser videos, in organic posts on any platform. No paid ads with persona clips until we say so in writing.
  • The people in persona clips are AI-generated. Never present them as real people (customers, users, employees or yourself). Getuser videos carry no on-screen AI label, so you must disclose the AI-generated people when you post: switch on each platform’s AI label, and follow the law where your video is seen.
  • You are responsible for what your videos and captions say and where you post them, including posts Getuser publishes for you and captions written with AI that you approve. Claims must be true, and you must follow each platform’s rules, including its AI-content and branded-content settings. Platforms may refuse, limit or remove posts, and we cannot control that.
  • You can download your data or delete your account at any time in Settings. Keep your own copies: uploaded and rendered files are not backed up.
  • Indonesian law governs these Terms. If you are in Indonesia, you keep your rights as a consumer, including the right to go to BPSK.

This summary helps you read the Terms; it does not replace them. Where it differs from the full text below, the full text applies.

2. Who we are and how this agreement works

Getuser is a web service at https://getuser.app, operated by Moh Novalidyon Arileone Prayoda, Gresik, Indonesia (“Getuser”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@getuser.app for help and at legal@getuser.app for legal matters.

These Terms of Service, together with the Acceptable Use Policy, the AI disclosure and the Copyright policy, form the agreement between you and us (the “Terms”). The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and the Cookies and Subprocessors pages give more detail. If these documents conflict, these Terms of Service prevail, except where a policy sets a more specific rule on its own subject.

You accept the Terms electronically, by ticking the box on the consent screen before you first use Getuser. We record the version you accepted, the exact sentence you agreed to, your browser’s user agent and the time. An agreement made this way is valid and binding under Indonesian law (UU 11/2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions, as amended, and PP 71/2019). This version is dated 19 October 2026 (version 2026-10-19).

Transfer to a company. Getuser is run today by an individual. We plan to move it into a company, such as an Indonesian limited liability company (PT) or a holding company. You agree that we may transfer this agreement, your account and the related data to the company that takes over Getuser, provided it takes on our obligations under the Terms and the Privacy Policy and your rights are not reduced by the transfer. We will tell you before the transfer takes effect and name the new operator. If you do not want to continue, you can delete your account at any time.

We will add our Indonesian business registration number (NIB) and electronic system operator (PSE) registration number to this page once they are issued.

3. Who can use Getuser

You must be at least 18 years old to use Getuser. Getuser is not designed for children, and we delete accounts that we find belong to anyone under 18.

Getuser is a tool for founders and businesses promoting their own app. You use it for business or professional purposes, not as a private consumer. If you accept the Terms on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.

This does not take away any protection that the consumer-protection law of your country gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract.

You may not use Getuser if you are located or ordinarily resident in a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are named on a sanctions list of the United Nations, the United States, the European Union or the United Kingdom, or are owned or controlled by someone who is. You must also comply with the export-control laws that apply to you.

4. The beta

Getuser is in beta: it is still being built and tested. During the beta:

  • It is free. We take no payment, and you do not need to give us any payment details.
  • The beta is by invitation, and there are limits. If your email address was invited, you get 2,500 credits each calendar month, from 00:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) on the 1st, used as the section “Credits” describes. Credits left at the end of the month do not carry over. Without an invitation, your account starts on the Free plan (section “Credits”). You can put up to 20 videos in one batch, with up to 40 waiting to render at once, and the other limits shown in the app apply.
  • Things will change. We may add, change or remove features, limits and formats as we learn. The current limits are shown in the app, and we will tell you about significant changes in advance where we reasonably can.
  • Before any paid plan, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email and in the app, together with the price and terms. Nothing will be charged unless you actively choose a paid plan. Beta users will be offered a founding price; if you do not choose a paid plan, your account moves to the Free plan when the beta ends.
  • It is provided as is. Beta software can have bugs, interruptions and data loss. The sections “Changes to Getuser and availability” and “What we do and do not promise” explain what that means for you.

5. Credits

Getuser counts what it makes for you in credits. The app shows your balance, what each action costs before you start it, and the history of every credit in and out.

  • What uses credits. A video costs 25 credits and a slideshow 25 credits. Text that Getuser writes with AI, such as captions, lines or answers about your app, costs what it really costs us, converted into credits at a fixed rate. Posting, uploads, edits, previews, planning, scheduling, downloads, captions from the library and rendering an expired video again cost no credits, within your plan’s limits.
  • AI writing is quoted first. Before Getuser writes with AI, it shows you an estimate and a maximum, and holds the maximum. When the writing is done, you are charged its real cost, never more than the maximum, and the rest comes back. If Getuser has to ask the AI a second time, you pay only for the answer you get, not for the failed try.
  • Failures are never charged. Credits are held when a render or an AI write starts and are charged only when it succeeds. If it fails, the held credits come back to your current balance automatically, and a hold that has not finished within 2 hours is released. Deleting a video does not give its credits back, because it was made.
  • When credits come in. On a paid plan, its credits come in every month on the day your subscription started, including on yearly and prepaid plans. On the Free plan, 30 credits come in every day at 00:00 WIB, up to 300 in a calendar month. During the beta, see “The beta”. Plan credits that you have not used by the next reset expire and do not carry over.
  • Top-ups. On Pro and Max, you can buy extra credits. They are used after your plan’s credits, last 12 months from purchase, and stay usable if you move to a lower plan or cancel.
  • No overage and no automatic top-ups. We never charge you for using more than your credits, and never buy credits for you. When your credits run out, posts you have already scheduled still go out.
  • Costs do not rise during a paid period. We will not raise what an action costs, the formula for AI writing or the model prices it uses during a period you have paid for, including a yearly plan. If we have to raise them, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance, the change applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
  • Credits are not money. They have no cash value and cannot be cashed out, sold or transferred to another account, and they are refunded only as “Plans, fees and payment” describes. If a payment is reversed (a chargeback), the credits from that payment are withdrawn.

6. Your account and its security

You sign in with your email and a password, or with Google if you choose. A new account confirms its email once, with a link we send to it, and a forgotten password is reset the same way, so the security of your Getuser account also depends on the security of your email (or Google) account.

  • Give us an email address you control, and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and the links we email you to yourself, use a password you do not use elsewhere, and do not share your account. An account is for one person.
  • Tell us at once at support@getuser.app if you think someone else has used your account.

You are responsible for what happens in your account, unless it results from our own failure or from misuse that you could not reasonably have prevented.

7. What Getuser does and what you do

You answer a few questions about your app and upload a screen recording and, if you like, an ending clip, your own hook clip, images or music. Getuser plans and renders short vertical videos and image slides that combine a short reaction clip of an AI-generated persona, a caption line (from Getuser’s built-in patterns or your own lines), your recording, an ending and, if you choose, music. Getuser trims, crops or scales your footage to fit, re-encodes it and lays captions and music over it; it does not edit your footage with AI.

You decide what is posted. Getuser creates files for you to download. You decide whether, where and when to post them, from which account and with what caption. If you connect an Instagram or TikTok account, Getuser can also publish them for you, but only the posts you confirm, as set out in “Auto-posting to Instagram and TikTok”. Getuser does not connect to any social media account you have not connected, and cannot edit or delete your posts on any platform. The posting schedule and calendar file are reminders only, and the views and links you enter by hand are recorded as you enter them.

Because you choose what to publish, you are the advertiser and publisher of your posts, including those Getuser publishes at your instruction. That does not limit any responsibility the law places on us for the parts of a video that we make, such as the persona clips and the wording of our built-in patterns.

No promise of results. We do not promise any number of views, followers, downloads, sales or other results, or that a platform will accept, recommend or keep your posts.

8. Auto-posting to Instagram and TikTok

Auto-posting is optional. If you use it, this section applies in addition to the rest of the Terms.

  • Connecting. You may connect only accounts that you own or are authorised to manage for the app you promote. You connect them through the platform’s own consent screen. You authorise Getuser to use the access the platform grants only to read the account’s basic profile, to publish the posts you confirm, and to check their status. Instagram allows only professional (Business or Creator) accounts.
  • Your instruction. Getuser publishes a post only after you confirm it on the publish page with Post now or Schedule, with the content, account, caption, settings and time shown there. That confirmation is your instruction and authorisation to publish exactly that post to that account at that time, including later, automatically, for a scheduled post. You can change or cancel a scheduled post until Getuser starts sending it to the platform; once the platform holds part of it, it may be too late to stop.
  • Captions and settings. Getuser may suggest a caption from its library or written with AI. Suggestions are drafts: read and edit them before you confirm. Once you confirm, the caption is your content, and you are responsible for it as if you had written it. You choose each platform’s settings, such as who can see the post, whether comments are allowed and the commercial-content disclosure.
  • AI label. For a video that shows a persona, Getuser switches on the platform’s AI label and keeps it on. This does not replace your other duties under “Your responsibilities for your videos”, such as TikTok’s “Your brand” disclosure and the law where your post is seen.
  • Nothing added. Getuser publishes your post as you confirmed it. It adds no advertising, watermark or “made with Getuser” mark.
  • Platform rules. Posting through Getuser is posting on your account under the platform’s terms, community guidelines and other policies you agreed to with it, such as TikTok’s Music Usage Confirmation and Branded Content Policy shown on the publish page. You are responsible for following them.
  • What platforms decide. Each platform decides whether to accept, delay, label, limit, remove or restrict a post or an account. Platforms also set limits, such as how many posts an account may publish a day; may allow only some kinds of post, for example private (“Only me”) TikTok posts until TikTok has completed its review of Getuser; and may change or withdraw Getuser’s access to their services at any time. During the beta, auto-posting may be limited in these ways or unavailable.
  • What we do, and what we are responsible for. We use reasonable care to publish only what you confirmed, to the account you chose, once, at or as soon as possible after the time you chose; to retry safely when a platform is briefly unavailable; and to show you each post’s status. If a post cannot go out, we tell you why where we can. We are responsible for our own failures to do these things. We are not responsible for what a platform does or fails to do, including its outages, refusals, removals, limits, labels, changes to its rules or services, or the end of our access to it, nor for losses that result from them. This does not limit the rights described in “Limits on liability” and “What we do and do not promise”.
  • After publishing. A published post stays on the platform until you delete it there. Getuser cannot delete posts for you (Instagram does not let apps delete posts), and disconnecting an account or deleting your Getuser account does not remove them.
  • Disconnecting. You can disconnect an account at any time on the Accounts page: posts still waiting for it are canceled and its access keys are deleted. If you remove Getuser in the platform’s settings, or the platform ends our access, posts waiting for that account will not go out until you reconnect it and try again.
  • Suspending auto-posting. We may pause auto-posting for an account or a workspace where we need to in order to comply with the law or a platform’s requirements, or to stop misuse, following “How we enforce the Terms”.

9. Your content and the permission you give us

“Your content” means everything you give Getuser: the answers about your app, your uploads, your own lines and the settings you choose.

You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, transcode, process and render your content, and to show it and the resulting videos back to you, only as far as needed to run Getuser for you, keep it secure and fix problems you report. Our Subprocessors may do this on our behalf.

This permission ends when you delete the content or your account. Copies in our database backups roll off within 7 days; uploaded and rendered files are not kept in backups.

We do not use your content to train AI, ours or anyone else’s, and we do not use it in our own marketing unless we have asked you first and you have given separate permission.

We look at your content only when we need to in order to provide Getuser, to help you when you ask, to investigate a report or a suspected breach of the Terms, or where the law requires it.

Your videos. As between you and us, you own the videos you make with Getuser, except the persona clips and any library music inside them, which remain ours or our licensors’ and are licensed to you under the next section. Getuser keeps its software, pattern library and designs, but you may use the caption line, layout and styling as they appear in your own videos.

10. Persona clips and library music

Getuser’s library contains the AI persona clips and, when available, music tracks (the “library assets”). Every customer uses the same library, so nobody gets exclusive rights to it. Library music is paused for now; until a track is offered again, you can upload your own music or add a sound from the platform’s library when you post.

Your licence. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the library assets only as part of videos rendered through Getuser, to promote your own app (or the app of the organisation you act for) in organic posts on any platform. “Organic” means posts you publish on your own accounts, or on accounts that openly represent your app, without paying the platform or anyone else to promote them. The licence continues for videos you made while you had an account, subject to the conditions below.

Paid advertising. You may not use a video that contains a persona clip in paid advertising, including boosted or promoted posts, Spark Ads and ad campaigns, until we confirm in writing that this is allowed. Library music may be used in paid ads only if the terms shown for that track allow it.

Conditions. You must not:

  • extract, separate or reuse a library asset outside the video it was rendered in, or sell, share, sublicense or distribute it on its own;
  • post or advertise a video that shows a persona without the AI disclosure that the platform or the law requires, as described in “Your responsibilities for your videos”;
  • remove or change the metadata in which Getuser marks a video as containing AI-generated people, or re-encode or edit a video for that purpose, in order to hide that its people are AI-generated;
  • present a persona as a real person, including as a customer, user, reviewer, expert, employee or yourself, or use a persona as the face, name or profile picture of an account;
  • alter a persona’s face, body or movement, or add a voice, dubbing or lip-sync to it;
  • use a persona in the categories that the Acceptable Use Policy keeps free of personas, or in any other way that breaks that policy; or
  • use library assets to train or improve any AI model, or to create a face, voice or likeness model.

Withdrawal. We may withdraw a library asset where we need to for legal reasons, for example a rights or likeness complaint, a licence that ends, or an order from a court or authority. We will tell you which of your videos contain it. You agree to stop using those videos in new posts and, if we ask because of a legal claim or order, to remove existing posts that contain it. We will explain why and try to help you replace it.

Our responsibility for the library. The library assets are ours to stand behind. If a third party claims against you that a persona clip or library track, used as the Terms allow, infringes their copyright, portrait or likeness rights, we will defend you against that claim at our own cost and pay any damages finally awarded against you, or any settlement we agree to, provided that you tell us promptly, let us handle the claim and stop using the asset if we withdraw it. This does not cover use outside this licence or anything you added to the video.

11. Your responsibilities for your videos

You decide what your videos say and where they appear, so you are responsible for the following.

  • True, supported claims. Every claim in your videos (the benefits and problems you describe, your own lines, endings, captions and anything you add) must be true and not misleading, and you must be able to back it up with evidence. The app warns about some risky claims, such as health, money, guarantees, rankings, authority or weight loss, but the absence of a warning does not mean a claim is allowed.
  • Rights to what you upload. You own, or have permission to use, everything you upload, including recordings, music, fonts, logos and other people’s content, and you have the consent of, or another legal basis for, everyone whose face, voice, name or personal data appears in it.
  • Platform rules. You follow the rules of each platform you post on. For a video that contains a persona, that includes switching on the platform’s AI-content setting, such as TikTok’s “AI-generated content”, YouTube’s AI disclosure (“AI use”, previously “altered or synthetic content”) and Instagram’s or Facebook’s “AI info”, and, on TikTok, setting the content disclosure to “Your brand”. The AI disclosure page shows how.
  • AI disclosure. Getuser videos do not show a visible AI label. Getuser writes a note into each video file that contains a persona saying that it contains AI-generated people, but viewers cannot see that note and platforms often drop it. Telling viewers is therefore your responsibility: every time you post a video that shows a persona, you switch on the platform’s AI label (or, where a platform has none, say so in the caption), and you add any further disclosure that the law of the place where your video is seen requires, such as the EU AI Act’s rule that whoever publishes realistic AI-generated images of people must disclose it, or New York’s rule that an ad with a synthetic performer must say so conspicuously in the ad itself. If we later allow paid ads with personas, each such ad must state clearly that the person is AI-generated and follow the ad platform’s rules.
  • Honest identity. You post from accounts that identify your app or clearly show your connection to it (for example by adding “by the team behind” and your app’s name, or “#ad”), and you do not run accounts that pretend a persona is a real person.
  • Advertising law. You comply with the advertising, consumer-protection and other laws of each place where you post or target viewers, such as Indonesia’s Consumer Protection Law (UU 8/1999) and the Indonesian Advertising Code of Ethics (Etika Pariwara Indonesia), the US Federal Trade Commission’s rules on endorsements and reviews, the EU and UK rules against fake reviews and hidden advertising, and any rules for your app’s sector.
  • Evidence. You keep the evidence that supports your claims, and share it with us if a platform, an authority or a third party challenges a video you made with Getuser.

12. Personal data in your uploads

Your uploads may show personal data, such as your customers’ names or emails in a screen recording, or someone’s face or voice. For that data, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf as your processor (UU 27/2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP), Arts 51–52, and, where it applies, GDPR Art 28). For data about you as a Getuser user, we are the controller, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Use test or demo data in your recordings where you can, and upload personal data only where you have a legal basis to do so.

When we process personal data in your uploads, we:

  • process it only to provide Getuser to you, on your instructions as set out in the Terms and as given through your use of Getuser’s features, and tell you if we believe an instruction breaks the law;
  • make sure that everyone who has access to it is bound to keep it confidential;
  • protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including row-level access controls, private storage reached only through short-lived signed links, encrypted connections and encryption at rest by our providers;
  • use only the subprocessors listed on Subprocessors, each bound by written terms that protect the data at least as well as this section. You authorise us to use them. Before we add a subprocessor that is not on that list, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance, so that you can object or delete your account;
  • store it in Singapore. Our hosting providers are US companies that may access it to support their services, and we rely on their data-processing terms, including standard contractual clauses where required, as safeguards for any transfer;
  • help you respond to requests from the people shown in your uploads, mainly through the self-serve tools in Settings, and help with security, impact assessments and consultations with authorities where reasonable;
  • tell you without undue delay, and within 48 hours of becoming aware, of a personal-data breach affecting your uploads, with the information we have, so that you can meet your own deadlines (3×24 hours under UU PDP; 72 hours under the GDPR);
  • delete it when you delete the content or your account, as described in the Privacy Policy, unless the law requires us to keep it; and
  • give you the information reasonably needed to show that we meet these obligations, and answer your reasonable written questions about them.

Business customers who need a separate data processing agreement can ask us at privacy@getuser.app.

13. Acceptable use

You must use Getuser, and the videos you make with it, in line with the Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of the Terms. In short: no misleading claims or fake reviews, no presenting personas as real people, no prohibited products or services, no infringing or illegal content, and no attempts to abuse or break Getuser.

You must not use Getuser in a way that breaks the law, harms others or puts Getuser, our providers or other users at risk.

14. How we enforce the Terms

How we moderate. Getuser publishes your content only when you instruct it to, and we do not review it routinely. The app checks your own lines automatically and warns you about certain risky claims, and uploads are checked for file type and size. People review the reports we receive, possible breaches we find and orders from authorities. We do not take enforcement decisions about your account by automated means alone.

What we may do. If we reasonably believe that content or an account breaks the Terms or the law, or creates a legal risk for Getuser, other users or third parties, we may take proportionate action:

  • warn you, or ask you to change or remove something;
  • remove or disable content in Getuser, such as an upload, a line or a video;
  • restrict features, for example the use of personas;
  • suspend your account; or
  • end the agreement and close your account, for serious or repeated breaches.

We take into account how serious the issue is, whether it was intentional and your history with us. We also comply with lawful orders from Indonesian authorities, including the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), and from courts, and we may report content to the authorities where the law requires it or someone’s life or safety is at risk.

Statement of reasons. When we act, we tell you what we did and why: the facts, the rule in the Terms or the law that we relied on, whether automated tools were involved, and how you can respond. We may delay or leave out that explanation only where the law forbids it, or where it would hinder the investigation of a crime or put someone at risk.

How to respond. You can reply to our message or write to legal@getuser.app within 30 days. A person, where possible one who was not involved in the original decision, will review your response, and we will tell you the outcome. If we got it wrong, we will reverse the action without delay. This does not limit your other remedies, including those in “Governing law and disputes”.

We give notice before we act where practical. We may act at once where that is needed to stop illegal content, a security threat or serious harm to others.

15. Getuser’s software and your feedback

Getuser’s software, pattern library, designs, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. The Terms give you the right to use Getuser as offered while your account is open, and the licences described above; they do not transfer any other rights to you.

You must not copy, sell or resell Getuser, or decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows you to despite this restriction.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without paying or naming you. We will not identify you publicly as a Getuser user without your permission.

16. Platforms and other services

Getuser is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or any other platform. TikTok is a trademark of ByteDance Ltd.; Instagram, Facebook and Reels are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.; YouTube and YouTube Shorts are trademarks of Google LLC.

Each platform’s own terms govern what you post there, whether you post yourself or through Getuser. Platforms may label, mute, limit or remove content, or change their rules, at any time. We do not control those decisions and cannot reverse them.

When you connect an Instagram or TikTok account, Meta or TikTok handles what Getuser sends it under its own terms and privacy policy. They are not our subcontractors, and we are not responsible for their services.

If you sign in with Google, Google’s terms also apply to that sign-in.

17. Changes to Getuser and availability

During the beta, Getuser has no guaranteed uptime or service level. It may be unavailable, slow or interrupted, for example for maintenance or updates, or because of problems with our providers. Renders may fail or be delayed.

We may change, add or remove features. We will tell you in advance about changes that significantly affect how you use Getuser, where we reasonably can. If we decide to close Getuser, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice so that you can download your files, unless legal reasons make that impossible.

Files are kept for a limited time. An upload is kept until it has gone unused for your plan’s period (30 days on the Free plan; 1 year on paid plans, during a trial and during the beta), and we warn you 7 days before it is deleted. An upload that a waiting video or a scheduled post still needs is not deleted. A finished video is kept for 30 days, or longer while a scheduled post needs it; after that, you can render it again for free while its uploads are kept. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Keep your own copies. Uploaded and rendered files are not backed up. If a file is lost through a technical failure, we may not be able to restore it. Download your videos when they are ready, and keep the originals of what you upload.

18. Plans, fees and payment

Getuser is free during the beta, and we take no payment.

Paid plans start only after we have told you at least 30 days in advance, by email and in the app. You will only be charged if you choose a paid plan. Before you choose, we show you the price, what the plan includes, how renewal and cancellation work, and the refund policy below.

  • Plans. After the beta, Getuser offers a Free plan and paid plans (Pro and Max), paid monthly or yearly, as described on Getuser’s pricing page. The Free plan’s credits and limits may change with at least 30 days’ notice.
  • Trial. We may offer a free trial of a paid plan, without a card, once per app and once per social media account. When it ends, your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan.
  • Prices. Prices include tax. Prices in rupiah are for payment methods in Indonesia; elsewhere, you pay the price in US dollars.
  • How you pay. Payments are handled by a payment provider, whose terms also apply to the payment. With QRIS or a bank transfer (virtual account), you pay in advance for 1, 3 or 12 months, and the plan ends at the end of the period you paid for unless you pay again: nothing renews by itself. Where a payment method allows automatic renewal (such as a card or GoPay) and you choose it, your plan renews at the end of each period until you cancel. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel a renewing plan at any time in two clicks in Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We email you 7 days before a yearly plan renews.
  • Changing plans. Moving up to a higher plan starts a new period that day: you pay the new price minus the unused value of your current plan, and get the new plan’s credits at once. Moving down takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • What a paid period includes. Once you have paid for a period, we will not reduce what your plan includes during that period; if the law forces us to, we will tell you and refund the affected part.

Refunds.

  • Monthly plans: you can cancel at any time, and the plan stays active until the end of the period.
  • Yearly plans: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of payment and have used less than 10% of the credits; after that, the months that have not yet started are refunded pro rata.
  • Top-ups: unused top-up credits are refunded if we close Getuser, or close your account without a breach of the Terms on your part.
  • If you end the agreement because you do not accept a material change to the Terms, or we end it without a breach on your part, we refund any fees you prepaid for the unused period.
  • Your rights as a consumer under the law, including under the Consumer Protection Law (UU 8/1999), always apply.

To ask for a refund, write to support@getuser.app from your account’s email address. We refund to the payment method you used, or to a bank account in your name where that method cannot take a refund.

Price changes. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance. A change applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then. If you have an active paid plan, you keep your current price for at least 12 months after we announce a change.

Exchange rates. Prices in US dollars are fixed. Prices in rupiah are reviewed every 6 months and change only for new customers, and only if the exchange rate stays above Rp20,000 per US dollar for 30 days, or our cost per credit stays above Rp5.6 for 2 months.

19. Ending the agreement

You can leave at any time. Delete your account in Settings. Deletion is immediate: your files are removed, your data is deleted and your account is closed, as the Privacy Policy describes. If you want a copy, use Download my data on the same page first.

We may end the agreement:

  • if you seriously or repeatedly breach the Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, following the steps in “How we enforce the Terms”;
  • if the law, or an order from a court or authority, requires it; or
  • if we close Getuser or the beta, with at least 30 days’ notice.

What happens to your data. When the agreement ends, we delete your account data as the Privacy Policy describes. Where we end the agreement, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to download your data first, unless the law prevents it.

What continues. The licence for library assets in videos you have already made continues, on its conditions, unless we ended the agreement because you broke them. The parts of the Terms on your responsibilities, personal data (until it is deleted), liability, indemnity and disputes, and any others that by their nature should continue, survive the end of the agreement.

20. What we do and do not promise

We will provide Getuser with reasonable care and skill, as the Terms describe. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, Getuser is provided “as is” and “as available” during the beta. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it suits a particular purpose, or that your videos will reach any audience or achieve any result.

Getuser’s warnings, checks, schedules and guidance are there to help you. They are not legal advice and do not guarantee that a video complies with the law, or with a platform’s rules, where you post it.

Nothing in the Terms excludes or limits rights that you have under law and that cannot be excluded or limited by contract, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Law (UU 8/1999).

21. Limits on liability

What is never limited. Nothing in the Terms limits or excludes either party’s liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence; for death or personal injury caused by negligence; or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies, including mandatory consumer-protection and personal-data-protection law. The Terms do not shift to you any responsibility that the law places on us.

Indirect losses. Subject to that, neither of us is liable to the other for losses that were not a reasonably foreseeable result of a breach, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities or goodwill.

Our cap. Subject to the same exceptions, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to Getuser or the Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us for Getuser in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim and (b) Rp 1,500,000. This cap does not apply to our commitment under “Our responsibility for the library”.

Your cap. Your liability to us is limited in the same way, except for your obligations under “Your indemnity” and for breaches of the library licence conditions or the Acceptable Use Policy.

Each of us must take reasonable steps to limit our own losses.

22. Your indemnity

If a third party (including a platform, a regulator or another authority) brings a claim or proceedings against us, or fines us, you will compensate us for the resulting losses, fines and reasonable legal costs to the extent that they arise from:

  • your content, including the claims your videos make and anything you add to them;
  • how, where and from which accounts you post or advertise your videos, including posts Getuser publishes as you instructed; or
  • your breach of the Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, a platform’s rules or the law, including posting a persona without the AI disclosure that a platform or the law requires, stripping Getuser’s AI metadata to hide that a person is AI-generated, or presenting a persona as a real person.

You are not responsible to the extent that the loss is caused by us, including by the library assets or the wording of our built-in patterns, used as provided and as the Terms allow, or by our breach of the Terms. Where both of us contributed to a loss, your share is in proportion to your contribution.

We will tell you promptly about any such claim, give you the chance to take part in or take over its defence at your cost, not settle it in a way that admits fault on your behalf without your consent, and take reasonable steps to limit the loss.

23. Changes to the Terms

We may update the Terms, for example when Getuser changes, before paid plans start or when the law changes.

For a material change, meaning one that reduces your rights or adds to your obligations, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email and in the app, and explain what is changing. The new version applies to you only once you accept it; the app will ask you to. We will never treat you as accepting a change just because you keep using Getuser.

If you do not accept a new version, you can stop using Getuser. You can still ask us at privacy@getuser.app for a copy of your data or to delete your account without accepting it, and if you have prepaid, we will refund the unused part. The version you accepted earlier continues to apply to everything that happened before the change.

Changes that do not reduce your rights or add to your obligations, such as clarifications, corrections or updated contact details, take effect when we publish them, with the new date at the top of this page. Changes required by law take effect when the law requires.

Changes never apply to disputes that arose before they took effect. We keep earlier versions and will send you a copy on request.

24. Governing law and disputes

The Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence.

Talk to us first. If you have a complaint or a dispute, write to legal@getuser.app. We will try in good faith to resolve it with you within 30 days. This step does not stop you from going to BPSK, or either of us from asking a court for urgent interim relief.

If you are in Indonesia:

  • if you are a consumer under the Consumer Protection Law (UU 8/1999), you may take the dispute to the Consumer Dispute Settlement Body (Badan Penyelesaian Sengketa Konsumen, BPSK) or to the district court where you live (UUPK Arts 23 and 45);
  • otherwise, the Central Jakarta District Court (Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat) has jurisdiction.

If you are outside Indonesia: any dispute that is not resolved by negotiation will be finally settled by arbitration administered by BANI Arbitration Center (Badan Arbitrase Nasional Indonesia) under its rules in force at the time, before a single arbitrator, seated in Jakarta and conducted in English. The award is final and binding, and can be enforced in other countries under the 1958 New York Convention.

Exceptions. Either of us may ask a competent court for urgent interim relief, for example to protect intellectual property or confidential information, and either of us may bring a claim that qualifies for a small-claims procedure before a competent court. If you are a consumer and the law of your country gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts or before a consumer body, nothing in this section takes that right away.

25. Language

The Terms are published in Bahasa Indonesia and in English, and both versions are valid. For users in Indonesia, if the versions differ, the Indonesian version prevails, as Indonesian law requires (UU 24/2009 Art 31; Perpres 63/2019 Art 26). For other users, the English version prevails.

26. Contact points, notices and complaints

We communicate in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

If we are required to appoint a legal representative in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we will name them here.

27. General terms

  • Standard terms. The Terms are standard terms that we offer to every user. We have written them to comply with Article 18 of the Consumer Protection Law (UU 8/1999). If any clause conflicts with it, that clause is void to that extent, and the rest of the Terms remains in force.
  • Force majeure. Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, epidemics, government action, or widespread failures of power, the internet or hosting providers, provided that we tell the other promptly and try to limit the effect. If such an event lasts more than 30 days, either of us may end the agreement.
  • Severability. If a court or other competent body finds any part of the Terms invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and the invalid part is replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to its purpose.
  • Entire agreement. The Terms, with the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and us about Getuser, and replace any earlier understanding on the same subject.
  • No waiver. If either of us does not enforce a right straight away, that right is not lost and can still be enforced later.
  • Ending without a court order. To the extent needed for either of us to end the agreement as the Terms allow without a court order, we both waive Article 1266 of the Indonesian Civil Code.
  • Transfer by you. You may not transfer this agreement to anyone else without our written consent, except to a successor of your business with notice to us. We may transfer it as described in “Who we are and how this agreement works”.
  • No partnership. Nothing in the Terms makes us partners, employer and employee, principal and agent, or joint venturers.
  • Interpretation. “Including” means including without limitation; headings are for convenience only; and “in writing” includes email.

This page is also available in Bahasa Indonesia. For users in Indonesia both versions apply; if they differ, the Indonesian version prevails.
